On the 1st of September 2017 20 brave souls got into the ring for the annual Cameron’s birthday bash, This is the charities main fundraiser of the year and coincides with Cameron’s birthday which is on the 4th of September. This year was especially emotional for the charity as it marked Cameron’s 13th birthday. The night was hosted at Dunswell Park in Kingston upon Hull. We would like to say a special thank you to Jamie Waltham, Carla Waltham, Joe Lightower, John Hilton and all the corner men for all of their support on this event and of course to all the fighters and guests who made the night as special as it was.
The night was an epic night of amateur boxing, every single fighter performed amazingly and it was heart warming to see so many people willing to step up and fight for the charity. Competitors included family members and people who Cameron had never met before. Every single person chose that night to not only celebrate Cameron’s birthday but fight for change in how asthma is regarded. In total they helped raise a massive £2000 which will go towards our current joint project of purchasing the RESMON PRO for Hull Royal Infirmary.
To everyone involved a massive thanks again and we hope to see you all next September. If you would like to sponsor next years event contact us via our Facebook page or alternatively e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org
