HOTA Charity Dunker Day

Do you have what it takes to escape from a crashed helicopter in the middle of the ocean? Hopefully you would never be in this position however the amazing people at HOTA are opening their doors to give you the opportunity to experience such a thing. This is certainly something to brag about with your friends and an amazing opportunity to raise funds for Breathe for Cameron and the National Mouth Cancer Foundation.

The Mission
Escaping from a submerged helicopter shell is not usually part of most people’s daily routine, but daredevils are being encouraged to take on the unique challenge to help raise vital funds for charity. Participants will take part in a safety briefing before they are lowered into the water inside the helicopter shell, they will then have to escape through a window as it fills up. The second part of the challenge will see those who take part have to free themselves from the shell as it submerges and rotates 180 degrees, resembling a real life emergency. Participants will be strapped in during both parts of the challenge and the operation mimics a helicopter making a controlled landing into the sea.

The event will be held on Friday the 24th of November 10 am until 7 pm at the HOTA training facility on Malmo Rd Sutton fields Hull. No experience required non swimmers are more than welcome to take part. The event is fully supervised by specialist safety divers. To book you place please email Thank you.
